SIMPLE FOOD GUIDE

Good nutrition is the foundation of good health. Everyone needs the basic four: water, protein, carbohydrates and fat.as well as vitamins, minerals and other micrnutrients.

Eating good foods is simple if you know what to buy and what to stay away from. Here then, is a simple food guide, designed to help you make good decisions in the grocery aisles and to keep you from sinking to the bottom of the food chain!

Do buy:

  • Lean meats, fish, poultry. Preferably organic, no hormones, etc.
  • Protein contains essential amino acids.
  • Low fat dairy products.
  • Dairy products are full of calcium which induces a calming effect to the body.
  • Fresh fruits and veggies.

Hey, you need this stuff! You need at least 3- servings of veggies everyday as well as 2-servings of fruits. These things are filled to the brim with essential vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals

  • Bottled water.

The stuff in the tap may contain lead, chlorine and a number of things you don't need. Go with a good SPRING water (as opposed to a filtered bottled water that costs the same!).

Don't buy:

  • Processed, artificially flavored, colored and otherwise, freaky foods that have no business in your body. See that label? Can you pronounce the chemical components listed as the ingredients? That's your first clue that they're not bragging about nutrition, but rather, doing scary experiments on you with YOUR consent! Can you see how ridiculous this is?
  • Sodas. Good grief, do we even need to go there? This stuff is LEACHING calcium from your bones and setting you up for osteoporosis later in life. This has GOTTA go.
  • Sugar. Yeah, I love it too, but it hates my thighs, hates my mind and makes me CRAZY! This is part and parcel of every depression case I have ever seen, mine included. STAY CLEAR.
  • Artificial sweeteners. Thought you could mess with the sweet, did you? No, there is no going around this one. You need a 180 from this one. ANY artificial sweetener--I don't care if it comes in a blue pack, pink pack or yellow one.all scary monsters. RUN!
